NFT Market Overview

The mainstream market for NFT (Non-fungible token) is currently on blockchains such as Ethereum, Polygon and Solana, but the vast majority of NFTs are on the Ethereum. Therefore, for newbies, we recommend focusing more on Ethereum.

How Do I Get NFT?

There are two main ways to obtain NFT: Mint and the NFT marketplace.

Mint

Minting refers to the purchase of NFT at the offer price by obtaining eligibility from the project owner, where "eligibility" is often referred to as Whitelist. The way you get it varies from projects, and getting whitelisted does not necessarily mean getting a profit. In a complex market environment, there are many projects that fall below their original price during the offering period which means you have to DYOR(Do Your Own Research)!

NFT Marketplace Purchase

Currently, the most popular trading platform is OpenSea, but there are many fake NFT projects on OpenSea, using almost identical names to pass themselves off as real or even forging an "Official Certification" badge. Please make sure you can identify the right project in the middle of trading.

Gas Fee

A gas fee is a charge that users pay to transact on the Ethereum blockchain. Gas is used to compensate miners for the computing energy and resources expended to validate transactions and to include them in the blockchain.

Cryptocurrency Wallet

All NFT transactions do not support direct payment by credit card or bank account, only Cryptocurrency. Therefore you need to use a cryptocurrency wallet. Some of the more popular Ethereum wallets are MetaMask, Math Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, etc. Based on the usage, we also recommend you to use MetaMask.

The cryptocurrency wallet is not only used to store your cryptocurrency and NFTs. It is also your entry point to interact with the blockchain and all transactions are authorized through the cryptocurrency wallet.
